There is no benefit in kind (voordeel alle aard) voor employees when the bike is regularly used for commuting from home to work. It is advised to use a bike policy where the regular use is agreed between employer and employee.
With a lease bike in your near future you are already well on your way, but a bicycle allowance makes it complete! As an employer, you may pay a tax-free bicycle allowance up to 35 cent per cycled kilometer that the employee travels in commuting. 3. Premium - Covers all repairs and maintenance without limit

Lease a Bike offers three different scenarios for offering a lease bike to employees.
1. Employer invests - The employer pays the full lease costs
2. Shared investment - Employer and employee determine the distribution of costs.
3. Employer facilitates - The employee pays the full lease costs.
Together with the employee are you free to choose to exchange the compensation elements they have available for the lease costs. Some examples of those elements are: 13th month, gross salary, downgrade of the commercial vehicle or a bonus.
Every contract has a fixed term of 36 months, within this time it is not possible to end the lease contract.
Employer and employee mutually conclude an addendum to the employment contract before the employee is capable of starting a lease contract. Lease a Bike provides an example of this in which agreements are included in the event of premature termination. In this construction, the employer first makes sure the remaining lease funds are fully covered, to recount it to the employee. t is also possible for the employee to take over the bicycle, whereby the set price is deducted from the remaining lease installments. If an employer does not include this, Lease a Bike offers three other options to minimize the risk for the employer:
1. Employer has the option to pay off the remaining lease installments (without service and insurance costs);
2. Employer finds another employee to take over the existing lease contract;
3. Employer can return a maximum of 4% of the active lease contracts to the lease company free of charge and without penalty.
We make an offer for the employee to take over the bicycle for +- 15% of the value (new). The exact amount cannot be determined on forehand and depends on the final condition of the bicycle. If the employee is not interested in taking over the bicycle, we will take the bicycle back - free of charge. There is never a risk for the employee or employer here.
The lease company is the owner of the bicycle during the entire lease period.

To make the process as easy to manage as possible all lease contracts always start on the 1st of the month. If, in example, an employee picks up a bicycle the 22nd of the month, the contract starts on the 1st of the following month. First report your stolen bike at the police. It is important that you have the two original keys of the bike and that the number of the bike frame is mentioned on the police report. You can find the number of the frame on our platform. Afterwards you can go to a Lease a Bike dealer and together you file the digital theft report. You will receive a replacement bike for a maximum of 7 days. The dealer will make sure you will a receive a bew bike. Luckily for you we will let your current contract running. There is no own risk for theft.
If you have any damage to your bicycle, go to your Lease a Bike dealer as soon as possible and fill in the damage form together. If the bicycle dealer cannot repair the damage immediately, you are entitled to a replacement bicycle for a maximum of 7 days (note: only if you lease an e-bike or speed pedelec). There is no own risk on damage claims.

Yes, we sell all brands and all types of bicycles: from e-bike to racing bike and from mountain bike to speed pedelec. Even an electric bicycle is available.
It is important that the customer first checks whether his/her company is already connected to Lease a Bike. If this is not the case, it is best that he/she mentions to the HR manager that he/she would like a lease bike. The HR manager can then contact us. Alternatively, the client can contact us directly, and we will then contact the company.

Yes! After you are registered via our registration form on the website, we will create an account for you. Once this has been created, you will receive an email to confirm your account and sign the contract with Lease a Bike digitally.
For service and maintenance, you can go to the Lease a Bike service portal. You will find a link to the service portal in the Lease a Bike portal. Here you can claim your maintenance and repairs.
In case of damage, an employee will come to your shop. You can then fill in the online damage and/or theft form available on our platform.
The customer reports it to the police and you can report it via the online damage and/or theft form on our platform. Lease a Bike is the contact person and forwards the form to our insurance company, which pays out the money.
Service and maintenance can be claimed from the maintenance platform. Warranty claims can be submitted to the brand itself. This is done through the normal channels known to your dealer. Damage and theft must be reported on the Lease a Bike damage and/or theft form.

You don't necessarily have to have one; you can also work directly in the Lease a Bike maintenance platform. A working internet connection is a prerequisite.

In this case, you are reimbursed partly Lease a Bike. The excess of the annual budget of the employee must be invoiced directly to the employee.
After you have logged in, you will see 6 tiles. Click on the first tile: "New request". Fill in the frame number or the contract number of the customer. If your request is interrupted, there is a number in the lower right corner for each tile where you can pick up the request again. You can then go through the rest of the tiles.
The selected service and maintenance package is linked to the frame number. The frame number can be found in the LEASE A BIKE platform. The options are: Basic (up to €100 / year), Standard (up to €150 / year), Speed-pedelec (up to €300 / year) and the Premium package (no limit).
Your request will be available under the "Request approved" tile. Finish the process here by entering the correct dates and then create the invoice with your own reference (invoice number). Send it and save the PDF created in the platform for your internal records. After this, the invoice will automatically be sent to us and paid to you.

b) Agree to follow the company guidelines of the customer.
Step 4 - Finalize contract
a) Fill out the chosen bicycle and the service & maintenance package
b) The customer receives a contract between him/her and his/her employee and after agreeing will receive a pincode. You fill out the pincode, the serial number of the bike and check her/his ID.

You can start a new contract when the customer (employee of a company) has received an order code of the employer. The employee receives that code after the employer has signed a contract with Lease a Bike.
It may be that the item or the brand is not in the selection, in which case another manufacturer can be selected. It is very important that the exact description of the model and article number are noted. These ensure that the bicycle is insured at new value in the event of theft. The amounts can be entered without separators for thousands.
